So, I've had KLGD's CTAF and Guard streaming successfully for a while now with a test setup. (Anyone can listen to it at or

What do I need to do to get this published? I tried replying to the setup email a week or two ago and tried filling out the contact us form. Haven't seen anything yet. I did try to search my email for anything in hopes I would find anything that went to spam.

Maybe a post here will work?
Listener Forum / New CYCG FSS/ATF/Guard/RDO feed

Thanks for providing the new CYCG FSS/ATF/Guard/RDO Feed.

The feed isn't that busy so just wondering if the Vancouver Center frequency 134.200 could be added ? Should be able to hear the controller as the RCAG is located there. (Ideally a separate feed).

Also FYI there is no mention of an ATF 123.200 (It's 122.100 same as RDO) and Pacific Radio (FSS) is 125.850 (not 126.700).
Feed Outage/Status Reports / CYHZ - Power Outage - Fiona - Now completely up

Sept 29 - Site Fully up now.

*Have to physically get to site to restart the computers connected to scanners. SDRs are working though. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Both sites are down due to power loss as a result of Hurricane Fiona. As of 0430Z Sept 24 there are slightly over 2000 power outages and 1/4 of the population of Nova Scotia is without power (250k). Hurricane to hit land around 0900Z, so sites may possibly be down for an extended period.
(I've attached the initial report audio)

The aircraft performing flight #UA149 from Newark to Sao Paulo was seen with sparks coming from the landing gear compartiment on takeoff from runway 22L.  The Boeing 777-200ER (reg. N787UA) climbed to 24,000ft over the sea and started to dump fuel in order to loose weight.

Pilots reported a problem with hydraulics, causing sparks and falling debris.

The flight returned to Newark Airport for a safe landing 1h30 later

Aviation News (General) / 10 Reasons to Get a Part 107 License

Drone flyer here too, found this an interesting read.

If you have been flying your drone for a while, chances are you’ve heard of Part 107.

Most people believe that you only need a Part 107 license if you are flying your drone for compensation. Although compensation is a factor that decides whether you need a Part 107 license to fly your drone legally, it’s far from the only criteria.

The article list reasons to get a Part 107 license that you may not have known before reading this article.

I'm very glad that the Federal Aviation Administration has ensured the safety of the traveling public by wisely denying the waiver request by Republic Airways to cut in half the pilot experience requirement.

U.S. airlines have attained an extraordinarily good safety record, with no fatal crashes in more than 13 and a half years.

Now is not the time to weaken essential #safety standards. We must instead work hard to maintain or improve them.

David Koenig expands on FAA’s efforts in a recent article in The Associated Press.

SUV collides with a JetBlue A320 at LaGuardia Airport in New York. The vehicle was reportedly not occupied and rolled into the aircraft while it was preparing to takeoff. No injuries reported.
The key words here are, "not occupied"

how in the world?
