Airport authorities told the St. Augustine Record that the pilot was a student who had recently purchased the plane.

According to flight tracking data on Flight Aware, the male pilot was flying from Greenville, South Carolina, bound for the St. Augustine Airport.A single-engine Cessna 150F heading to the St. Augustine Airport made an emergency landing steps away from the southbound lane of U.S. 1 and Landing Drive and within feet of railroad tracks July 11

No injuries were reported, in the incident, which happened about 3:30 p.m.

4 hospitalized but safe after small plane crashes in Pembroke Pines neighborhood, officials say

Four people are considered safe but were hospitalized with minor injuries after a small plane crash in a Pembroke Pines neighborhood on Sunday evening, police said.

Pembroke Pines Police shared on social media that officers are assisting with efforts regarding a plane crash into a tree in the area of Southwest 14th Street and 68th Boulevard, just west of North Perry Airport.

According to North Perry Airport, the plane is "based out" of the airport, but the National Transportation Safety Board said the Cessna T337G was on approach to North Perry when it "crashed for unknown reasons" about a mile short of the runway. According to data from FlightAware, the plane was coming from Turks and Caicos.

One pilot and three passengers are all safely out of the plane, police said.

Pembroke Pines Fire Rescue told CBS News Miami that all four on board were taken to Memorial Hospital, with one patient labeled as Trauma Level 1 and the other three deemed Trauma Level 2. Pembroke Pines Police said in a later social media update that the plane occupants sustained only minor injuries.

KLAX - Saturday 7/12/25 1435Z (2:35pm local) - SWA1110 B737 rejected takeoff on 24L from 95kt stating "at about 60kt the red runway hold lights came on", due to UAL348 previously landed on 24R which was holding short 24L for this departure.  Tower did not initiate the rejection and asked SWA1110 the reason.  UAL348 was given phone number by GND for possible pilot deviation.

SWA1110 returned to the gate for inspection and departed about 2 hours later @ 23:43Z.

Combination KLAX TWR North / GND North, edited for time and content.  Not realtime but left unedited TWR portion from point of UAL348 instructed to hold short 24L.

Saturday 7/12/25 at DCA... Passengers on JIA5509 from Norfolk VA to DCA, got a rollercoaster triple approach to Rwy 1 this morning.

1438Z first go-around due to unstable approach.  Agrees a short approach from Potomac, turning back in for final again just South of the Wilson Bridge.  Helicopter N8QV was doing some sort of low level operation near the beltway to the SW of the field, JIA5509 circled it on the first go-around (helicopter was not a factor in either go-around).

1442Z Approach gives JIA5509 the switch to Tower; no response from JIA5509.  Multiple calls follow from Tower, Approach and Departure.  Tower continues to communicate JIA5509 clear to land, also used light gun.

1445Z JIA5509 calls go-around audible on the LiveATC Departure feed.  Finally makes contact with Tower ~20s later.  JIA5509 said they didn't get the switch from Potomac, saw the light gun but too late and decided to go-around.

JIA5509 requests a longer downwind to setup for the 3rd try, landed fine @ 1500Z.

Combo TWR, OJAAY (= Final today), Departure, Heli, edited for time/content, not realtime etc.

(This was heartbreaking.  Did finally get him northbound from DAB, and was already reporting radio issues, he made the transition to JAX Center, and said the same thing, that was the last hearing him.  Must have had other electrical issues as well, ADSB went out south of JAX, but he seemed fine with VFR'ing to KTTA.  Thoughts and prayers with all the friends and family, including the aviation community there as they broadcast what was happening, and then finding the site.  RIP)

A person is in custody and law enforcement are investigating after a threat from a disruptive passenger led to an emergency diversion at the St. Pete–Clearwater International Airport (PIE) in Florida on Sunday.

Allegiant Air Flight 1023, bound for Roanoke-Blacksburg Regional Airport in Virginia, made an emergency return to PIE after "a passenger caused a disruption," Andrew Porrello, a spokesperson for Allegiant Air, told Newsweek in an email on Sunday.  The passenger was taken into custody by law enforcement, according to Porrello, but further information on the charges the suspect may face were not provided.

Deputies with the Pinellas County Sheriff's office responded and "are investigating a threat made on an Allegiant flight," Sergeant Amanda Sinni told Newsweek in an email on Sunday. "The airport has remained open and there are no passengers in danger."

Newsweek has requested more information on the nature of the threat from officials via email Sunday. Shortly after takeoff at PIE, crew members on Allegiant Flight 1023 reported a disturbance involving a passenger.

"Allegiant does not tolerate disruptive behavior of any kind. The aircraft returned to the airport where it landed safely," Porrello told Newsweek. "Law enforcement met the aircraft and took the passenger into custody."

Aviation Audio Clips / KCVG Tower/Approach Evacuated

Earlier today, the Tower and Tracon at KCVG had to be evacuated because of a "fire alarm" shortly before 4PM EDT.  Indianapolis Center had to take over for the Cincinatti Tracon and all flights into and out of KCVG had to use Uncontrolled Airport procedures and communicated on Unicom/CTAF 122.95.  Numerous inbound flights were placed in holding patterns.  The Tracon came back in service about an hour and a half later but the Tower, for whatever reason, remained closed for about another two hours.  The tower reopened just before 730PM EDT, about three and a half hours after the initial evacuation.  The attached audio is a mix of tower, ground and Indianapolis Center.

KDCA Friday 7/4/25 ~21:15Z (5:15pm local), flyover from North to South of WH / National Mall by flight of 4 x F22's, followed by 2 B2's, each accompanied by a pair of F35's.

JIA5501 couldn't catch a break - just missed the cut before departures were stopped, no 1 for takeoff, then had to cancel takeoff due to someone up in the back...

NTSB prelim report on this incident - originally DRAGO61 Time on Target (TOT) 1521 EDT with departure stop around 1517 EDT.  TOT was moved up to 1515 EDT communicated by Potomac to Tower at 1512:45 as "stop all departures hard time is now seventeen" confirmed as "hard time seventeen we will stop all departures." but seems to have been misunderstood as "hard stop is seventeen" for departures
