« on: December 14, 2008, 07:41:40 PM »
Well, I don't have it yet...  :-( But... At Christmas, I'm getting FSX Deluxe with the Expansion (Acceleration). :-D So that Leaves me happy... So when I get it, how do you get onto online, and tell me your server ip so I can play with you! Woot!... I might be the ATC, or a pilot... Maybe with a Headset.

Best for this is VATSIM. Entire online community doing exactly what you're looking for. Have a look at that there.

LOL!  Someone is a bit excited.  You can also play FSX online via Game Spy.  In the game, there is a "Multiplayer" tab.  You have to create a Game Spy account.  I'm not sure if it's like the old Flight Sim Multiplayer sessions where a bunch of crazy people joined and just flew around doing whatever.  VATSIM is a better choice if you are serious about flying and/or controlling.  But to be a controller there, you'll go through a bit of training before you actually control.  They also have a lot of rules to follow but it's still fun.  I tried to be a controller there but when I started, I just didn't have the time to put into it.  Have fun!!

you know what would be funny? if you land without promission and their like "Unidentified Aircraft yo-"
(you)>"WHAT?!" ... lol. anyways, But I don't know what tot say to like takeoff and things, so I'd need training, and I really hate it when I listen to airports, but for like hours they say NOTHING... (and their still up!) AND PLEASE KEEP REPLYING

Great community, real pilots, real (and former) controllers.  Even a virtual flight school and virtual ATC school setup.

VATSIM also has a training academy as well.  Keep in mind any site you find is going to have several regulations to follow.  It keeps out people who want to mess it up for everyone else who follow the rules.  Also keep in mind that in real world flying, there are lots of rules and even more rules for controllers.  As long as you use common sense, more than likely you'll be just fine but yeah, definitely get into a training program so you can learn some of the phraseology. FSX also has a lot of training in it too that will help you out.

www.iflyonline.com

This site is also a great place to fly FSX without the problems of a GameSpy session!  Professional virtual controllers and numerous flying/controlling events.  Virtual Oshkosh this week!
