Ian,
I have a question about IAD arrivals from Europe that usually call on 132.20. seems lately that Freq is quiet so I was wondering what they are using and if it is covered
You mean New York Center 132.200 ? I just pulled up the archive from this afternoon (1900-1930 UTC) and heard multiple IAD arrivals from Europe on this frequency.
As to what frequency you will hear them on is dependent on the route and how New York has the sectors configured. Traffic from Europe inbound to IAD routing via Philipsburg (PSB) and the MAPEL arrival will pass through 132.200. Traffic routing via Albany (ALB) and Barnes (BAF) and the HYPER arrival will pass through New York on 120.025.
New York 120.025 is covered by LiveATC on the "ZNY NY Center (JOLIET)" feed. (Feed label incorrectly shows frequencies 132.500 and 133.675).
When it's not busy the 132.200 and 120.025 sectors are combined and they put all traffic on 132.20 (from what I have heard lately). When the sectors are split you won't hear the traffic on the HYPER arrival on the 132.200 feed.
If you listen to both 1900-1930 UTC archives from this afternoon (21st) you can hear it starts with both sectors combined, then around 11 minutes in the sectors are split.
