track or route?

Can you, please, tell me if there's any difference between track and route or they are used in the same context?
Just cannot get it. Thanks in advance.

Actually there's a significant distinction between track, route, and course.  From the PC/G:

ROUTE- A defined path, consisting of one or more courses in a horizontal plane, which aircraft traverse over the surface of the earth.  (it is often consists of various fixes and several different courses)
COURSE-
a. The intended direction of flight in the horizontal plane measured in degrees from north.
TRACK- The actual flight path of an aircraft over the surface of the earth.
