SPJC Tower not working as intented??
« on: November 19, 2023, 12:15:54 PM »
Hello LiveATC.net community,
I'm a Peruvian user and I have encountered a problem that I would appreciate help with.

Basically, for the past 30 days, I have been experiencing difficulties with the SPJC Tower audio feed. The issue is that the ATC audio feed is limited to english-speaking airlines, while the airport ATC is known to communicate in both English and Spanish. But since the airport's main language is Spanish, the ATC audio feed does not consistently provide communications and it is mostly inactive. How I noticed all of this is by checking a flight radar and watching the nearest planes at LIM, PE, everytime a plane lands or takes off, the ATC does not speak at all (except for english-speaking airlines as mentioned before).

I have attempted the following steps to resolve the issue, but none of these has resolved the problem:
- Disabled my ad-blocker for LiveATC.net
- Erased the website data
- Checked my internet connection and device settings, which appear to be functioning correctly
- Tried reloading the audio feed as suggested

At first, I thought it was an issue with the website where other audio feeds would have a similar issue, so I have tested other audio feeds, but they appear to be working fine.

Finally, I would like for anyone to test the SPJC Tower audio feed if possible, and if anyone could experience this problem, or has other feedback/suggestions, I would be grateful for your insights. Thank you for your time and assistance in advance. I look forward to your response.

Sincerely,
ValeVal248

Hello,
I have listened to the tower feed and I dont hear any ATC tower communications either.  The approach and ground feeds seem to be working fine but not the tower feed.  The problem is probably with the feed setup.  It is possible the radio used for the SPJC tower feed has failed, or the radio has a bad antenna connection, or it could be a problem with the audio output cable from the radio.  Any of these problems could result in no audio on the tower feed.  Hopefully the feed provider will see this and correct the problem.
