Problem listening via Windows Media Player 10
« on: August 06, 2007, 02:03:14 PM »
Guys,

Ever since I reformatted this machine I've been unable to listen to audio feeds from liveatc.net - I can navigate the site, click the link to listen (I've tried using the manual methods too, whereby you enter the URL yourself) and media player will buffer the audio to 100% - do nothing for a couple of seconds and then buffer back up again, all in a continuous loop.

I know it's not a bandwidth issue on my end because other streaming audio and video usually works fine.

Any help much appreciated.

Josh

Did you try looking through all of the security programs to make sure it wasn't being blocked from using the internet? I know when wimamp wasn't working for me, I had to allow one of those (McAfee or WindowsDefender, not sure) to allow it to use the internet.

Ya, there's nothing running that could possibly affect it - even Windows firewall (as dumb as it can be) is allowing it.

Be sure you've tried all the basic things. Reset your connection. Try on a different computer on the same network. Try a different feed.

If those don't work, it's beyond my very limited knowledge of internet applications, and someone else might have the right solution.
