While I was driving home my scanner picks up this yesterday (Apr 25, 06) and luckily it is in the archive so that I can review this..
This is from the CYYZ Archive, @ 17:30 Apr 25, 2006. From a conversation between AC460 and the deperature controller
Into the archive file,
0:05 AC460 calls deperature control, everything's normal
1:36 AC460 suggested whether they can help if they stayed low
1:54 AC460 gives another suggestion to the ATC.. ATC says "ENOUGH!"
2:35 ATC gives AC460 instructions for vectors, Pilot asked the ATC to give them a phone number and ID, ATC says "I don't have time".. And ignores AC460's request
2:58 AC460 says something which I cannot make out. And ATC replies "I don't have time either", contiunes to ignore
3:52 ATC gives vectors and enroute frequency, AC460 contiunes to demand for the phone # and ID and ATC contiunes to ignore..
So, for discussion, some points I want to find out:
1) Can a ATC ignore the phone # and ID request like that by ignoring it 'completly' (yes he is busy, as I saw it real life spotting yesterday)
2) Can anyone make sense of what the pilot says at 2:58 into the archive?
And for futher info, if you also listen to the CZYZ archive, same date and time, AC460 requested (and got) the phone number from the next controller, and there was actually a small discussion among the pilots (when I hear it from my scanner when I was driving) but unfourtunately it was blocked by an open mic in the archive.
