The should have gone for the pink Song colors...now that'd be opposite of bland.
A funny note on this whole merger: a friend of mine flies the 747-400 for Northwest. He says when they operate one of the 747s' that have been painted in Delta colors, it's a full-on Northwest flight. NWA crew, cabin and flight. They even use "Northwest" as their callsign. But they have to say "Northwest ### Heavy, in Delta Colors." That way other airplanes and tower know what they are looking for!
I flew Delta this past week and the in the back of the Delta magazine they list both the 747 and the A-330 as being in their fleet and painted in the Delta colors. I did not see any 747s at ATL though.

call me old fashioned, but i like the old-old paint scheme that delta used. the one from the 1974 pic up there. i dont know why, but something appealing about it! lol-NAplaya
yo joey, i hate to ask for more, b/c all these pics u've posted are all pretty sweet, but do u have anymore pics of older airlines, old paint schemes, old types of aircraft, etc etc etc??? Thanks-NAplaya
