No Pilot Audio (KTOL)
« on: September 21, 2023, 08:20:34 AM »
I've been listening for a while now and understand you will not always hear both sides of a conversation. However, a few weeks ago ALL of the pilot audio is gone from KTOL. Any ideas how or why this has happened?

Good morning  :-)

So far, while listening to the KTOL feed, it seems I have only heard the approach controller and not the aircraft he's talking to.  The feed has two approach frequencies: East 126.1 and West 134.35.  It's possible that the feed is no longer scanning all the frequencies and for some reason is stopped on one of the approach frequencies.  But as luck would have it, it's stopped on the frequency that the aircraft are not on.  The aircraft could be on the other approach frequency.  The controller could be transmitting on both approach frequencies so that would be why you hear the controller and not the pilots.  Hopefully the feed provider will see this post and check it out.

Just heard the approach controller hand off a helicopter to KTOL tower.  I didn't hear anything from the tower controller or the helicopter pilot on the KTOL feed.  So most likely the feed is stopped on one of the approach control frequencies.

This problem still exists. Bumped in hopes someone who
can help sees it.
