Will be putting it on my roof.

For UHF-only, broad frequency range, a cone is the logical choice. It is omni-directional.

There are many around but a discone is a good all round performer.  Many manufacturers cost depends on who supplies it.

Check ...  www.hro.com or do a Google and see what it brings up.  Use good coax and weather proof the connections.  An old trick, dirty but effective is to use vaseline that you would use on your face.  Cheap and nasty but works.
