« on: June 28, 2007, 10:22:06 AM »
If you are an MIA ATC and your father works at Lake Worth High, I would like to hear from you. You also have a brother who is a golf pro on Long island! I didn't want to mention name on site. This is my first post ever and don't know what is OK to do and not do. Love listening to ATC. Dont know how you do it. Tough job. thanks

I am actually adding to my original post. The ATC I was trying to reach out to was on vacation and was involved in a serious accident out in Colorado ( Auto and not his fault ). He is OK, but a couple of his family members were hospitalized and will have a bit of a recovery. The reason for this post, is, I found out through his father that ATC's from across the nation donated to his cause, and raised enough money for a private jet to fly his family back to South Florida. You are a great family and my thanks to all ATC's that had an opportunity to help out. I will not post his name as I feel it is not necessary. thanks again, Dave.

You can read the whole story and find updates on the family on John Carr's blog: http://www.themainbang.typepad.com/  It is really amazing how much was donated for such a generous, well-liked person in the industry.

After reading the attached blog, I apologize for just thanking the ATC's. It was an "aviation community effort"
