Hi everybody,
I've been listening to the KJFK feeds for the past hour, and it's been quite interesting to listen to all the missed approaches off the VOR 13L approach at KJFK. Apparently there were low ceilings of clouds, preventing many pilots from getting a visual contact of the field, and in turn causing them to go around. Interestingly enough, they are now using the ILS 13L; actually it's the first time I've heard them use the ILS for that particular runway, and what makes it even more interesting is the fact that there's a lot of inbound and outbound traffic both at KEWR as well as at KLGA. I don't have any clue on how to edit clips or anything like that, but if anyone's interested in listening to the recordings, just go the feed archives and listen to the 21.30-22.00Z (april 2nd) and from there on.
Also, it's pretty neat to watch the radar on passur.com whilst listening to the feed.
Just thought I'd share this info if anyone was interested. (sorry for not being able to post a clip)
And Dave, thank you for this wonderful site
Kind regards
Alex
