Haven’t been able to sleep tonight so I’ve been flicking though live ATC streams. I’ve never tried the “HF Oceanic” frequencies before
, as I always assumed they were for ships, but just tried HF ARINC LDOC 6640/11342 in Nova Scotia and came across what sounds like one half of a conversation with an aircraft with an emergency. I can only hear the controller(?)’s voice clearly, and haven’t heard him say a tail number but he has:
listed a lot of flight systems (flight recording units and those sorts of things)
listed weather for Dublin, Shannon, Edinburgh and somewhere else and discussed best options
mentioned he would let London (stanwick?) know of the emergency
This happened between around 5.20-5.30am GMT. The feed now seems to be silent, so I’m wondering if there’s any way to find out more information without having a tail number?
