KPHX feed
« on: January 29, 2007, 01:31:13 PM »

To the person that is running the PHX feed:

I have a couple of questions.. I just flew through there, Sacramento - OKC - Sacramento, and noticed something during the scanning I did over my layover.

When listening to Ground control on 119.75, I noticed a lot of bleed through from the NOAA forecast stations (they generally run in the 162.55MHz range), so it interfered with receiving ground comms. Have you noticed that with your scanner(s) as well? I could pick up everything else clearly, just not Ground.

BL.

Hi, I am the person who runs the feed.
They recently moved into their brand new tower (really nice) and I have been hearing reports of radio problems on their end. This is probably why, and I am sure they would have it fixed in due time.
Sometimes the tower frequencys bleed over to the atis frequency.
Additionally, north ground is not as clear from me as NE ground (133.7) and south ground and tower.  It appears as if north ground is the anomaly.

Hope this helps.
