Nope. The B744 is carrying a 5th Engine to be delivered/installed on another aircraft.

Similar was done when Boeing tested the Trent and RR engines for the B777. They took off the port inboard engine and replaced it with that, and ran the entire plane off that engine.

It's normal.

Have a look at the 9th - 12th comments on the page. That should explain it all.

Also, this isn't a frieghter or anything. It looks to be an actual commercial flight. There wouldn't be any room inside the hull to store the pod, engine and all.
