It's been a fun listen so far. Visibility went from 1 1/2SM down to 1/4SM, vertical visibility less than 200, causing the field to be under minimums for all of their ILS approaches. They lost the 25R localizer, the 1L localizer, and the LAS VOR at one point. Currently, it is a bit better, with being able to run ILS 1L arrivals, but they are only down to two runways now.
All SWA flights in and out have been cancelled, with more airlines expected to follow, with more diversions. Ground stop all day, no PDC, and holds stacked 7 high over BLD.
G/A have been trying to shoot ILS 12L at VGT and end up flying missed. Contact approaches have gone missed. GPS 30R has gone missed. The Clark County Dept. of Aviation is close to requesting the ATMs there to close, as the snow and visibility is going to get worse according to the TAFs. In my time in Vegas, there has only been one time that airport has closed, so you're seeing something serious here. this should make a great oen for the archives.
