Listener Forum / Re: Unavailability of EHAM Frequencies
« Last post by dave on May 20, 2024, 08:20:40 AM »
We lost a critical piece of equipment at the EHAM receiver site. It will take several weeks, at a minimum, to replace. The receiver site is not easy to access. We may configure the working equipment to scan some frequencies instead of having separate frequencies like we have now.

Listener Forum / Unavailability of EHAM Frequencies
« Last post by FirstOfficerJesse on May 20, 2024, 08:14:43 AM »
Dear LiveATC Community,

I have noticed that for the past eleven days, starting from 9 May 2024, all frequencies for Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (EHAM) have been unavailable. This issue does not affect the Dutch Mill Radar frequencies.

As a regular listener who monitors the air traffic departing from and arriving at Schiphol, I am curious to know the reason for this prolonged unavailability. Is there maintenance being conducted, or are there other reasons behind this disruption? Additionally, is this a temporary issue, or will these frequencies remain unavailable indefinitely?

I appreciate any insights or information that the community or support team can provide.

Best regards!

Sorry for the delayed reply... unfortunately, there is currently no LiveATC feed for KMCO Twr East so that means there are no archives for the date you are looking for.

Feed Outage/Status Reports / Some KCHO Feeds Going Offline
« Last post by RonR on May 16, 2024, 11:34:39 AM »
For those who are interested, my KCHO feed site located in Palmyra, Virginia will be coming offline most likely by this Saturday.  Unfortunately, the feed host is moving out so the feed equipment will have to be removed  :-(

A number of the ZDC frequencies from this site have already been added to other feed sites with, in some cases, better reception than before and some of the other frequencies are currently being evaluated for the other sites.  There are also some possible new locations in the works as well that will eventually allow most if not all of the ZDC frequencies to find new homes.

Sorry to see it go, but what can you do...

Aviation Audio Clips / Three dead after small plane crash in Williamson County

(This was eerie, never got off a Pan or Mayday, just literally fell out of the sky.  RIP, thoughts and prayers with all)

FRANKLIN, Tenn. (WZTV) — Three people were killed in a small plane crash in rural Middle Tennessee, law enforcement confirms.  The Williamson County Sheriff's Office says a small aircraft crashed just after noon Wednesday near Bending Chestnut Road and Davis Hollow Road. According to the NTSB, it was a Beech V35 aircraft which crashed after experiencing an in-flight break up over a 1/2 mile radius.
"When responders arrived, they immediately started searching and sizing up the scene to see if there was a possibility of survivors. It was quickly evident that this would be a search and recovery operation, not a search and rescue operation," said Chief Deputy Mark Elrod.

Aviation Audio Clips / UPS2949 Flight Control Issues Returns to KOAK
« Last post by RonR on May 15, 2024, 10:33:00 AM »
On May 10, UPS2949, an MD-11 enroute from KOAK to KONT, had just departed runway 30 at KOAK when the flight crew called Norcal Departure and advised them that were stopping their climb at 4000 feet due to flight control issues.  They declared Mayday a few minutes later and asked to return to KOAK's runway 30.  They landed safely about 15 minutes later and taxied back to the apron on their own.
