A Skwywest Canadair CRJ-700 on behalf of United, registration N794SK performing flight UA-5841 from Denver,CO to Oklahoma City,OK (USA), was on approach to Oklahoma when the aircraft received a lightning strike. The aircraft continued for a safe landing on runway 17R.

The FAA reported: "AIRCRAFT STRUCK BY LIGHTNING AND POST FLIGHT INSPECTION REVEALED DAMAGE TO NOSE CONE, OKLAHOMA CITY, OK."

The aircraft is still on the ground in Oklahoma City about 72 hours after landing.
