Once they verfied they crashed, normal SOP kicks in, that's why I left the rest of the recording, enjoy.

CHICO — A small airplane crashed on the runway of the Chico Regional Airport at around 9:30 a.m. Saturday, but the plane’s two passengers escaped with minor injuries.

Chico Fire Department dispatchers received the call and sent firefighters and paramedics to the scene. The plane did not catch fire. It was still sitting upright — though on its belly — near the airport’s Runway 13L while three fire engines, one truck and Battalion Chief Jim Lucanic attended to it. A crew from the nearby Chico Air Attack Base — a Cal Fire facility — added support.

They quickly received word the plane’s occupants were a little banged-up but otherwise fine. Lucanic said he then reduced the response to just one engine, adding that the passengers did not go to the hospital.

Lucanic said the Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the crash.
