A Northwest Airlines flight, which took off from Syracuse Hancock Airport just after 12pm, bound for Detroit, was forced to make an emergency landing at Buffalo-Niagara Airport just before 1:30 Friday afternoon. The Northwest pilot had to use his oxygen mask due to loss of cabin pressure. A 12" gash in the front of the fuselage, near rows 1 and 2 might have had something to due with it. The plane landed safely at the Buffalo-Niagara International Airport around 1:30. One passenger that got interviewed on the local news (WIVB) said he was very scared.
