A Jazz Canadair CRJ-900, registration C-FJZN performing flight QK-901/AC-8901 from Toronto,ON (Canada) to Chicago O'Hare,IL (USA), was on final approach to Chicago's runway 09L when the crew received an aft lavatory fire alarm. The crew declared PAN PAN and continued for a safe landing.

The Canadian TSB reported that no smoke was observed. A flight attendant touched the door of the lavatory and found it cool. Subsequently the captain investigated, found the mirror warm, removed it and found that the heat duct had not been attached. Contract maintenance was called to re-attach the heat duct.
