American Airlines MD-82 Bird Strike At KORD

"An American Airlines McDonnell Douglas MD-82, registration N422AA performing flight AA-2301 from Chicago O'Hare,IL to Dallas Ft. Worth,TX (USA) with 140 people on board, was in the initial climb from runway 09R still on the tower frequency when the crew reported, they a couple of birds had struck their right hand engine just overhead the runway and they needed to come back right now. The airplane levelled at 4000 feet, joined a downwind for runway 09R, but due to the ongoing runway inspection was vectored to runway 10 for a safe landing about 10 minutes after departure."

Below is the audio from the incident. Tower is in one file and Departure/Approach is in another. Other pilots are reporting large flocks of birds all over the airport.

Sounds like a bird attack haha. Yea, I've seen some geese flying north lately, duh spring is coming lol.
