AAL1263 Engine Failure After Departing KDCA
« on: May 02, 2024, 10:32:39 PM »
On May 2, AAL1263 (an Airbus A319) was climbing out of KDCA enroute to KORD in Chicago when the flight crew declared a Mayday after their right-hand engine failed.  They diverted to KIAD (Dulles) and landed safely about 15 minutes later.  The attached audio unfortunately does not include the approach and landing at Dulles due to any issue with the KIAD feed site at the time.
