(not the best of audio, and only one radio there, so there was nothing on the freq after he deployed his CAPS)

A small plane crashed near Bellevue’s Newport neighborhood Tuesday evening after a reported engine failure, according to police. There were no reported injuries.

Bellevue police and fire departments responded to multiple 911 calls about a plane in distress that deployed its parachute around 5:04 p.m. in the 6500 block of 127 Place Southeast, police spokesperson Seth Tyler said.   Cirrus SR22T GTS G5 experienced an engine failure and the pilot decided to activate the CAPS. After the deployment the aircraft came down in the Newport neighbourhood of Bellevue, Washington.

The two individuals who were onboard the Cirrus SR-22 told officers they were on a training flight out of Renton when the engine failed. They deployed a whole-plane parachute that allowed them to bring the plane down in a controlled manner, Tyler said.

Feed Setup Pictures / Re: Updated ESSL - tower in the woods 2021

I have been listening to the ESSL feed on and off before and lately basically every day. Always imagined that it was an antenna on someones house roof or something. Very cool setup. Thanks a lot! Is this still the current setup or has it changed?

The most likely cause is that the feed site is too far away from the ATC transmitter site.  Have you heard the controllers on this feed before or has it always been pilot-side only?

Hello
I have a new feed EFHA installed and online for 3 weeks. The tower is only open from 7 to 13 UTC so there is little traffic outside of that time. Is it possible to publish it online?

It will be published soon.

The pilot of a Piper PA-32RT-300T Turbo Lance II reported engine problems and got a clearance to divert to John C. Tune Airport (KJWN), Nashville, Tennessee. A short time later the pilot radioed that he was unable to make it and then crashed just off Interstate 40 behind the Costco shopping center, about 3 miles south of the airport.
The five occupants perished and the aircraft was destroyed by a post impact fire.
