(well shut the door !!)  Report below, actual issue at the end.)

An American Airlines Boeing 737-8 MAX, registration N329SL performing flight AA-3221 from New York La Guardia,NY to Charlotte,NC (USA), was climbing out of La Guardia when the crew stopped the climb at FL200 reporting vibrations on board. The crew subsequently decided to divert to Philadelphia, on approach to Philadelphia the crew advised they had the vibrations under control now, they appeared to be related to an elevator trim tab. The aircraft landed safely on Philadelphia's runway 09R about 45 minutes after departure. After landing the crew advised they would lower the spoilers and asked emergency services to have a look at the upper side of the wing and also the elevators for anything unusual, emergency services reported it all looked normal. The aircraft taxied to the apron.

A replacement Boeing 737-8 MAX registration N318SF reached Charlotte with a delay of about 3:10 hours.

The occurrence aircraft returned to service about 16 hours after landing.

NTSB released the DCA Air Traffic Control Tower (ATCT) recordings in the docket materials https://data.ntsb.gov/Docket/?NTSBNumber=DCA25MA108, which provide better quality audio than LiveATC, and include certain internal communications between DCA ATCT and Potomac TRACON ("Mount Vernon").

LC = Local Control (119.1)
HC = Helicopter Control (134.5 - combined with LC on evening of the incident)
GC = Ground Control (121.7)
OS = Operations Supervisor

Attached the following; audio excerpts from these recordings with combination of LC and HC removing only the duplicate controller transmissions on one of the frequencies for clarity, and no changes in timing where there are overlapping communications on both frequencies; and combination of GC and OS communications following the collision.

1. 0132-0142Z LC+HC (realtime) - PAT25 route clearance

2. 0137Z OS (realtime) - Request from Potomac to "tighten them up a little bit", presumably referring to the spacing on arrivals

3. 0142-0202Z LC+HC (realtime) - Starting just before JIA5342 checked in with the Tower, thru collision ~0148Z and subsequent response to break out arrivals and heli coordination

4. 0148-0228Z GC+OS (not realtime, edited for time and content, see post below) - GC coordination with Potomac, Fire Command, ground traffic; also GC position relief conversation

5. Combined CVR/Tower transcript from the NTSB docket which shows timeline of communications and any gaps in communications between PAT25 and Tower

Saw a late go around for an American Airlines flight where a PJ was still on the runway. Looking for the ATC audio for AA2281 on Aug 3, 2025 from ORD to DFW performing a go around on runway 17L. Flight finally landed at 11:49 CDT on runway 17C.

Ive poked around a bit looking for the audio but haven't had any luck just yet. Thanks in advance for any tips on finding the audio!

Small plane crashes in the Everglades in Broward, two onboard rescued, authorities say

Two people were rescued Tuesday morning after their small plane crashed in the Everglades in western Broward County, the Broward Sheriff's Office said.

The Cessna 172N Skyhawk went nose down on a levee about 14 miles west of Everglades Holiday park just before 9 a.m., according to officials. The FAA said the pilot reported engine problems.

Charter Captain Brett Isackson saw it happen.

On the radio with the control tower at North Perry Airport, the pilot made a chilling call.

"Mayday, mayday, mayday," he said explaining his aircraft was going down. " There's no airport near you but it's near the Everglades can you maybe find a dirt road?" The tower suggested. "I'm looking, I'm looking. I'm doing the best," the pilot responded.   Charter Captain Brett Isackson saw it happen.

"It looked like they were doing a demo, practicing a touch-and-go as they were coming down. I don't know if they clipped the side of the grass, having engine trouble, but all we saw was it coming down for a landing and then it went 'boom' nose first," he said.

Isackson said he was close enough to check on the people onboard.

"We saw them come out and they said they were all right. That's basically what they said to us and we left them there, they said they have people coming out to get them," he said.  Rescuers on airboats were on the way.

Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue battalion chief Michael Kane said the man and woman were not injured and were taken to Everglades Holiday Park.

According to the flight path from Flightaware, the plane took off from North Perry Airport at 8:02 a.m. It then flew over the metro area, past U.S. 27 and over the Everglades. This is a common training area. According to the flight path, 18 minutes after take off, the plane dropped 900 feet in a minute, coming to rest on the levee.

Ah thanks - picking it up now (not as good as 134.35 for me but presumably this is a temporary switch)

NOTAM !DCA 07/082 DCA COM REMOTE TRANS/REC 134.35 CHANGED TO 121.275 2508030700-PERM

It appears 134.350 has been changed to 121.275. Are you hearing anything on 121.275 now ?

Back when I lived in Chicago that 125.0 frequency was always a pain to listen to. Not sure why, but I always had some kind of interference on it.
