From the photos and the description it appears those on board were fortunate to escape with their lives.
Perhaps a touch of the controllers curse  (more commonly known as  the commentators curse) in action here though. At just under 2 mins into the clip the controller asks the pilot if he will be going out again to which he replies 'one more time'.

After going round the aircraft landed safely at a higher than normal speed (about 172 knots over ground).

Feed Setup Pictures / Re: Dongle location benefit
« Last post by ScannrbaseHRL on May 07, 2017, 01:36:44 AM »
Sorry it took me so long to reply, OK this is what I found, Using the active USB extension and having the dongle in the roof with the antenna does work but is not any better than using a coax with a signal amplifier
and FM Trap that for sure, In the same mast where I have the Scanner antenna Im installing also a  Flightaware ADS-B antenna hopefully both feeds will be ready soon.

Hi Admin,

Is it possible to contact the owner/Operator of the KIAB feed and ask if it is possible to put the UHF freqs on for this location

Regards

Do you know is it possible to trace radio comms of any flight number  without manually switching from frequency to frequency and wait when particular aircraft start talking? It would be nice to hear al of the procedures from start up til landing instead of listening to specific station like Ground or Approach.

I would guess that is not possible. Unless you are inside the aircraft with a passive receiver.
Even if a command center has access to all ATC frequencies, the operator would have to switch around frequencies.
Maybe in the future your request would be possible, when aircraft no longer transmit in analog AM, but it more advanced digital modes.

EHBK Center frequencies have been down for some time. I am wondering if this is only temporary? Thanks for this great service.
