Aviation Audio Clips / KPBI - Cross Check, being done on Ground Freq
« Last post by KB4TEZ on September 09, 2021, 02:45:29 PM »
Now I know we've all heard audio of the flight deck thinking they are talking to the passengers, and ooops, their broadcasting on the air frequencies, but I've never heard this.
Caught this today at KPBI on my LiveATC app, on the Ground Frequency, apparently, missed a selector :)
the sigh at the end said it all, followed by silence (never did find out whom)

enjoy

Why the insistence on a line that doesn't matter so much can cause an accident for the Flight AA-2480. Perhaps more serious accidents could have occurred that endangered the lives of all occupants of the aircraft.

Are you referring to when the controller hands the flight off to another frequency that he himslef is also handling?

I know I've mentioned cross-coupling to some of you from time to time. Attached is a sample of what it sounds like. This example is from ZDC Sector 18.

Hello NSK

I am not familiar with the area but I hear "Rio Vista", Ca. and the north side of the "Antioch Bridge"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antioch_Bridge

Nice find Fryy

If it helps, the Antioch bridge is the bridge that is at the mouth of both the San Joaquin and Sacramento rivers, where they empty into the Suisun Bay portion of the Bay area. It is approximately 20 miles west of the city of Stockton, 25 miles west/northwest of KSCK, and roughly 15 miles southeast of KSUU. about 6 miles north of the bridge is the town of Rio Vista. The fire was on the north side of that bridge, above Antioch.

Sometimes lithium-ion batteries overheat and catch fire.  In 2016 there was a major incident with Galaxy Note 7.  Right now there is an incident with Chevrolet Bolt electric cars.

Hi
I had not heard this news. Is it possible for a passenger's smartphone caught fire?
What causes a passenger's smartphone caught fire?
