« Last post by cn2zv5oe on Today at 12:31:32 PM »
I was a passenger on VX1357 (Alaska call sign, Virgin America livery) from BOS to SFO on 4/20/18.  Aircraft A319 N525VA. Both pressurization computer systems faulted at cruise altitude. We diverted to ORD for an emergency landing at 18:45 CDT. Trucks on runway and ambulances at gate. Please post ATC if this was captured.

A Beech Bonanza V35A crashed in Oklahoma killing both people on board. The audio is from Oke city approach where they were having trouble to stay vfr. They were then switched to Fort Worth Center to a frequency that doesn't seem to be covered here. The plane crashed about four minutes after that.
The preliminary report from NTSB descibe his conversation with Fort Worth center and he said that he was vfr on top of the clouds and intended to try to go around the clouds to get underneath them to continue to the destination El Reno.

Feed Setup Pictures / Re: High Pitched hum on my feed
« Last post by szpajder on Today at 02:58:28 AM »
It most often happens when the frequency of the channel of interest coincides with the center frequency configured on the dongle. If this is your case, then shift the centerfreq a bit up or down (say, 100 kHz) and the hum should go away.

I believe there is something wrong with the current setup of YPPH feeds. Departure feed serves the audio of Tower, while Ground is in fact Approach. Are all these feeds yours?

Are you using RTLSDR-Airband by chance? Can you could post your config file (without passwords, etc)?

I think 126.7 and 123.95, unless it is busy the 12R/30L controller handles 17/35 also.

I'll be putting a composite of the Tower freqs up but it can't be a scan. We run the SDRs in multichannel mode, not scan mode. With scan mode we'd miss too many transmissions. So the whole setup is different than what it was before. I still have frequencies to add, including the stereo Tower feed...which is complicated by the fact that there are three Tower freqs.

What are the two most desirable Tower freqs to combine?

I didn't see the signature on the radar of this object? What part of the screen was it located?

Is it possible to still have a scan of the tower frequencies?
