The diversion of flight WN1240 to KOMA was reported by @FlightBreaking but the reason for the diversion was not given and it is not apparent  from the attached ATC broadcasts. The aircraft was able to continue on to Phoenix after about 1 hour on the ground.
Does anyone have any information?

October 20 2017: A Virgin Australia Boeing 737 departing Melbourne for Brisbane (VOZ319) on RWY27 reportedly struck an eagle carrying a rabbit on takeoff. The crew declared a PAN after cockpit indications showed excessive vibration on the number one engine. ATC vectored the aircraft for a RWY16 approach where an uneventful landing was carried out.
In the attached recording the initial PAN call was extracted from the YMML feed, all following transmissions were recorded from my own scanner. The controller's transmissions can't be heard due to weak reception/distance.

A rather noisy feed (and the actual emergency declaration is unavailable) but it sounds like a cabin pressurisation issue.

Air Berlin pilots suspended after saying 'dignified goodbye' with fly-by stunt at Düsseldorf Airport
The pilots of an Air Berlin flight that performed a fly-past during the insolvent carrier's last long-haul flight to its hub in Düsseldorf have been suspended, the airline said on Wednesday.

When coming into land from Miami on Monday morning, the A330 jet flew low across the runway, then pulled up and banked sharply to the left before landing on its second approach.

Listener Forum / Differnces with Aussie ATC

I noticed listening to London and many Aussie sights you'll  hear   "no TC speed restriction'
recently from SYD approach    " maintain 280 knots above  and below 10000 feet'  This is routine

I have heard near SFO  VERY HEAVY heavies to   reguest above to 250K below 10000 feet.   It's almost always approved st 'resume normal speed' or 'approved as requested.'

Thanks for the info.  For the last few days there has been no audio, not even a carrier.  19 Oct 2017 written at 1200 UTC
