SUGAR LAND, Texas -- A small plane has crashed in Fort Bend County, clipping power lines and slamming into at least four cars as it went down.

A small crowd of residents and emergency workers can be seen on Voss Road, just west of Highway 6.

Authorities say there are various injuries, but it was not immediately clear how many people may be hurt.

Haven’t been able to sleep tonight ... tried HF ARINC LDOC 6640/11342 in Nova Scotia ... emergency .... This happened between around 5.20-5.30am GMT.

Can you confirm the date and time you heard this ? "Tonight" as in Sep17 (GMT) ? Your post appears to have been sent at 04:55 GMT, before you said you heard this ? I checked the archives from this feed between 03:00 - 06:00 GMT and didn't hear anything ? Or did you mean yesterday Sep16 (GMT) ?

The information provided is very useful to me.

Haven’t been able to sleep tonight so I’ve been flicking though live ATC streams. I’ve never tried the “HF Oceanic” frequencies before, as I always assumed they were for ships, but just tried HF ARINC LDOC 6640/11342 in Nova Scotia and came across what sounds like one half of a conversation with an aircraft with an emergency. I can only hear the controller(?)’s voice clearly, and haven’t heard him say a tail number but he has:

listed a lot of flight systems (flight recording units and those sorts of things)

listed weather for Dublin, Shannon, Edinburgh and somewhere else and discussed best options

mentioned he would let London (stanwick?) know of the emergency

This happened between around 5.20-5.30am GMT. The feed now seems to be silent, so I’m wondering if there’s any way to find out more information without having a tail number?
Flight BA112 / BAW40F asked to give way to Piper Cherokee. Photos from the 747 window of the Piper Cherokee:
It seems to me that the Air India captain is unnecessarily verbose in this exchange. He is constantly giving additional information which clouds the essentials of what he needs.

First of all, sharing the air band is prohibited in the UK so unfortunately, LiveATC can't do anything there. Same thing with Spain, Italy and many other countries in Europe.

Holdings are very common in Heathrow, especially in the morning. So - I don't know the case - it might be a regular holding over one of the VORs (BIG, OCK, BNN or LAM) just for spacing and arrival flow.

I've just checked the BA222 track of today and they just did one loop over the BNN hold and then the aircraft was vectored for a 27R approach. Nothing to worry about apparently.
