Title: Rolling Boundary Departure
Post by: S0BS on May 02, 2023, 11:56:32 PM
When requesting a release does anyone have any requirements after Approach says "Released"? I'd like to hear what other facilities say back via the direct line. Thank you in advanc.

 7110.65 5-3-2 (https://www.faa.gov/air_traffic/publications/atpubs/atc_html/chap5_section_3.html#:~:text=and%20Equipment%20Performance.-,PRIMARY%20RADAR%20IDENTIFICATION%20METHODS,-Identify%20a%20primary) and  7110.65 4-3-4 (https://www.faa.gov/air_traffic/publications/atpubs/atc_html/chap4_section_3.html#:~:text=Above%20FL%20600.-,DEPARTURE%20RELEASE,-%2C%20HOLD%20FOR%20RELEASE).

When one of our towers call for release, my simple response is: "N12345, Released, AB."
PHRASEOLOGY-
To another controller,
(aircraft identification) RELEASED.

If unable to release: "N12345, hold for release, expect 5 minute departure delay, AB."
PHRASEOLOGY-
(aircraft identification) HOLD FOR RELEASE, EXPECT (time in hours and/or minutes) DEPARTURE DELAY.
