Phraseology training by skype or face to face

(1/1)

student_p:
Hello All,

I've registered to LiveATC.net because I am looking for an ATC controller with some experience who can assist me practicing IFR phraseology. Listening to LiveATC.net for me is unfortunately not enough. And I know that practicing communication on a daily basis for two weeks or so would be of great assistance. So if any controller out there would be willing to help me I would be very grateful and of course pay for such a training. Depending on where the controller is located I could also spend some days of my vacations to have a face to face training.

Thanks!

Maybe pause liveatc and pretend you are the pilot responding to the controller.
Then after you have responded, unpause the playback and check if your response was correct.
It probably helps to pull up FR24 or planefinder as well and enable callsign labels so you know the positions and orientation of the plane.

Maybe even give yourself a fake needle to "select" your heading and something to select your altitude.
Writing it down when you are finished answering should also be sufficient.

Only listening indeed is insufficient, but actually answering the calls will help with phraseology.
