It would help to know in what context this was used. Was this in the air? on the ground? which controller was involved? and in particular, which feed? I have an idea, but needing to find out a bit more before replying.

It is used mostly in the air, when a controller asks the pilot to confirm or acknowledge smth, and the pilot may replay CC

It looks like you more or less answered your own question...you might hear "Charlie Charlie" more often when a flight is on HF.  For example, when a flight is over the Atlantic Ocean, you may hear a pilot give a position report.  The radio operator he is talking to will repeat the position report back to the pilot and, more often than not, the pilot will confirm the read back by saying "Charlie Charlie".

I've heard such pilot's replay (CC) many times while flying.
The question is - what does it stand for?
What words are involved in this abrriviation?)
