In my goal to log a landing at every public-use airport in NY and NJ, the biggest challenge will be getting cleared into the big 3 in NYC. This would be VFR in a light single (CE-172 or the like), entering the Class B from the west. I humbly solicit the advice of those of you who are controllers in the area as to how I can make this an expedient process. I'm thinking along the lines of a quick touch-and-go at all three airports on a clear Sunday night at 3 a.m. What can I do to improve my odds of getting cleared for this?

I'm a private pilot with roughly 70 hours, and I know a couple of other pilots who've done the same thing. What you'll want to do is call the towers ahead of time (phone numbers here: http://www.stuckmic.com/new-york-air-traffic-control-facilities.html and http://www.stuckmic.com/new-jersey-air-traffic-control-facilities.html) and coordinate the best time for your operation. It could be 3am, but it could also be in the daytime if they think they can work you in.

Sorry, that's my mistake... I do a lot of work with VATSIM, and we have to make the distinction in that network's forums :).
