Title: double back instruction at KORD
Post by: amorais on July 05, 2017, 03:53:18 PM
Hello guys it is nice to be here..
i recently went to KORD and i heard 2 times the instruction "double back" at an  "x" intersection..
I am not sure  if that means that i have to make 4 turns, left or right, at an intersection and back to same position I previously was.. two times?
Can someone help with that instruction..
Thanks...

Double back means "to turn and go back in the direction that you have come from."

At KORD, I have heard double back for aircraft landing on 28C, ie. AA123 double back onto Papa, hold short of Golf Golf.  Another way they say it, AA123 two right turns onto Papa, hold short of Golf Golf.
