I left RDU about a month ago, transfered back up to the northeast. Lincoln was one of my best buddys, great guy. He would have made a great father, and was a loving husband. This email was sent to me by another controller at RDU. Please take the time to read it. Thank you.
I don't know if you have heard about our loss. On Monday, January 5, 2009, we lost one of our new controllers to a car accident. His name is Lincoln Woods. Lincoln was 25 years old and had just certified a few months ago. His wife Ashley is 6 months pregnant and due in April. He was a great guy to work with and I wish we had 10 more just like him. He was a Marine and will be buried at Arlington National Cemetery on Friday, January 9, 2009. His wife Ashley was recently laid off from work and has no income at this time. RDU NATCA has set up a website for donations, if you can see fit to give a little or whatever you can stand. I will appreciate anything you can do for Ashley and her family.
