Hi every controllers and pilot! I would like to have your opinion in case that the landing aircraft reported that he has experience bird strike at touchdown after landing. What would you do if there some landing aircraft behind that one in sequence? Promoted that there are 2 runway in acrive. Tks in advance!

I would advise the tower controller where on the runway the bird strike occurred. If the birds were sitting on the runway, the tower controller would likely have someone go out and inspect the runway. This would probably close the runway until the inspection was complete. The tower controller would then pass that information along to the next landing aircraft. He could give that next aircraft the option to land on the parallel runway (assuming there was still time for that flight to sidestep over to that parallel runway) or have him go around.

Tks RonR it's very kind if you to reply. Your advice is adeal. In this case we sould let go around 2 aircarts cause it's less time for pilot to change landing in another runway. But fortunately after inspecting the inspector found nothing. So I wonder if it the pilot may heat the bird before the runway tochdown and we let 2 going around if stupid? Because in some cases or in night time the pilot can not sure about the hitting object.

Speaking about bird strikes, is there a maximum Altitude that will only go so high, for bird is there a safe altitude so you wouldn’t hit them?

I have heard of bird strikes above 12000 feet. I've even heard of birds at 18000. Obviously most occur below 10000 feet.

I have heard of geese being hit at 29000ft The apparently hold the altitude record as far as birds go. :-)

I"m shocked that the FAA doesn't make them file above 18,000. And aren't they required to use O2 at these altitudes??? :-D

Here's a thread with some Tower audio of a situation that is similar to what you are describing:
