A320 Suicidal Pilot
« on: April 06, 2015, 10:52:47 UTC »
The Airbus A320 that was crahed deliberately by the co-pilot: Why do modern commercial aircraft not have anti -collision systens as are being tested in cars?

So if an aircraft is on course to hit a solid object (building/mountain/the ground) then the 'George' system would divert the aircraft automatically away from the solid object. Surely Airbus/Boeing must have thought of this.

Good point Brad

That is why we still have pilots who have over-riding contol of an aircraft.

Would it ever get to the point though where we no longer have pilots? Trouble is if that was the case & a virus was to get into the programme then we are doomed
