The song "YYZ" by the rock group Rush refers to Pearson International Airport in their native home of Toronto, Canada. Drummer and lyricist Neil Peart has said, in reference to the airport code, "It's always a happy day when YYZ appears on our luggage tags."
The beginning rhythms of the song spell out the airports IATA identifier in Morse code, "-.--, -.--,--.."
