Have to agree with Jacko - quality is amazing.  Must be one of the best on LiveATC.  :-) Thanks very much Drift.  Looks like it's down at the moment but no doubt will be on air again soon.  All the best.

Drift said to me sometimes it will go on and off as its sent over air through a server in ADL before being sent to liveATCs servers. I have also donated a scanner to Drift, so we will see what happens.

Stream is up and running again, sorry for the downtime!

I rebooted my server the other day & it seems the stream did not startup automatically like it should've

I'm currently unsure what lies ahead for Jacko's donated scanner. Possibly another stream  :-o or maybe just for personal use, as my only scanner runs the LiveATC feed now.

Hey guys, I was just wondering if someone could give me a status report on the YPAD feed. e.g. audio clarity, signal quality, abnormal noises/signal, stability.

I never listen to it or check the radio & computer setup so I'm not sure if it's still running properly

Let me know :)

Cheers, Drift

Hey Drift I got the feed on now, there seems to be a werid noise on some of the channels.. like a tick tick tick tick type thing.

Attached is a little example of what I mean..

Thanks for the feed Drift :)

Ahhhh bummer! Interference!

There is something in my area which generates interference across a large part of the VHF band, and sometimes up in UHF.  Unfortunately there's not alot I can do about it. On stronger signals its not as noticeable, but some of the signals from the airport can be weak at times, especially when the weather is doing funny things.

I think it's just something we'll have to put up with, its very frustrating when I'm talking on the amateur bands!  :x

Thanks for your feedback :)

This is becoming a common problem, one that we spend way too much time having to chase.  Feeders are leaving their feeds running (unwittingly, I'm sure) and disconnecting scanners, etc.  Or somehow rerouting sound card inputs, etc.

I wish we had silence detection on the server side that could block feeds that have been quiet for a really long time (like 24 hours).

Hi Guys,

Sorry for the downtime, a few blackouts & power surges last week buggered up the server a bit, somehow changed the audio input in the LiveATC program.

All sorted now, let me know if theres any issues.

Cheers.
