YBBN Tower Audio
« on: December 28, 2012, 05:53:30 PM »
Is it just me, or has there been no audio for several days on YBBN Tower?

I have not heard the tower at all or approach  very well for a several days. I can hear the actual aircraft. I also find most times now I do not hear the approach controller. It sounds like the controller starts to talk and like a "squelch" kicks in and cuts it off. For some reason, I seem to always get one way conversation now?

Some one has worked their magic, as both the Tower and Approach are now a million % better. Thank you to all concerned.

I have to wonder?   There are 12 connections listed at 2137UTC on 26 January 2013 and it sounds like 'dead air'  to me.
Dave,  Could they  be hearing the audio out of one remote server and me not from another server?

Progressively, I lost the Approach controller and aircraft, then the Tower and the aircraft. Maybe a dodgy connection some where. Shame right now as we have a 1 in 100 year massive storm front right over YBBN, some 300 kms along the coast. It was very interesting listening Just before the tower died. I heard crosswinds were steady at 25kts and gusting to 30+kts. Some a/c were delaying take off and some holding over YBCG while deciding what to do. Time to find my scanner and rig up an antenna. I am at short finals 01 at YBBN
