KNTU Down
« on: January 22, 2024, 16:32:47 UTC »
Good morning,

I've enjoyed listening to KNTU (Oceana) and Giant Killer for years here in Virginia Beach, but it has been down for the past few month. Does anyone know why? I would be happy to setup a scanner or platform to provide a link, but didn't know if or why the current feed is still down.

Thanks

Active feeds can go down for reasons beyond LiveATC's control.  Feeds that previously existed may go away entirely, again for reasons beyond LiveATC's control.  No feed is guaranteed to be up 24/7/365.  LiveATC is not a paid subscription network and *all* channels are provided on a "best effort" basis.

LiveATC monitors all active feeds with through an internal monitoring system that lets us know when a feed is down.  Some problems resolve themselves - like internet outages.  Sometimes a feed provider (or LiveATC) needs to manually intervene to fix problems.  Some problems take longer to fix than others.  Some receiver sites are in areas with poor internet and/or power reliability, or limited physical access.

If you are interested in providing a feed for KNTU, then please get in touch with LiveATC by going here:
