It made the news out here 2 planes had go divert out of pvd

ps i have something to add to that form but its not worth it for me to buy the thing  i was woundering if any one of you guys might be willing to post my info on there   if not 100% cool   im going out on a limb here.

my info was that i lisented to the clips last night and Wn2020  actualy went missed app. with a apperating tower and was given vectors to the alternet. tower closed shourtly after that a little after 12:00 est

Sounds like a fishy story.  While PVD Tower (and Approach) do close at midnight local time, Boston Center can definitely issue approach clearances.  Whether they have radar good enough to provide vectors to final, that's another story.

For KPVD:
APCH/DEP SVC PRVDD BY BOSTON ARTCC ON FREQS 124.85/307.9 (WOODSTOCK RCAG) WHEN APCH CTL CLSD.

I think the issue was more one of extremely low ceilings, not lack of ATC coverage:

I'm pretty sure that the METAR above (from Monday night) would put the weather below Southwest's landing minimums.
