New Cape Cod feed
« on: August 10, 2008, 08:42:16 AM »
Courtesy of Scott at the ScanCapeCod/ScanMassachusetts web site we now have a Cape Cod ATC feed. This was a feed Scott had already set up on his excellent web site and we are relaying through LiveATC.

The listing is at:
http://www.liveatc.net/feedindex.php?all#khya

For you Boston Center fans, this feed includes the ZBW ACK 17 and CAPE 18 sectors:

ACK 17 covers from the surface to FL999.  Traffic flow is mainly east/west and consists mostly of aircraft crossing the Atlantic Ocean.  The sector works with Moncton Centre, New York ARTCC (ZNY), Cape TRACON, other ZBW sectors, and VACAPES (Giant Killer).  Traffic conflicts often occur in the vicinity of FRILL, where various traffic flows merge.

CAPE 18 covers from the surface to FL999.  The sector traffic consists of departure and arrival traffic to airports like KFMH, KHYA, KACK, KMVY and KPVD.  There are also many KBOS departures and some overflight traffic.  CAPE 18 coordinates with Boston Tower, Cape TRACON, Providence ATCT, VACAPES (Giant Killer) and ZBW sectors.  Traffic conflicts often occur between LFV and SEY, where departure and arrival aircraft cross.
