Tonight Miami Approach is very busy and using another frequency 125.250

Miami calls it there RTIS frequency. I have wondered....what does RTIS stand for?

As you should know, the Dutch had discovered the USA and many places are names from the Netherlands (New Amsterdam, Holland ect.) This RTIS stands for ARTIS, which is a zoo in Amsterdam.

It can also be Radar - Traffic- Information- System though....
