Want to set up feed for KEWB

I want to set up a feed for KEWB, New Bedford (Mass.) Regional but most days cannot pick up the controller. I have a Discone atop my house, live 12.2 NM from airport. What gives? Is adjusting the antenna a possible solution? For example turning it a couple of degrees? On certain days I get the ATIS pretty clear, others I get nothing. Same with tower. However, I never get tower controller clear at all.
