Antlantic HF no voice?

it`s no voice on atlantic so why is 15% listning to nothing?

What do you mean by "no voice" exactly ? Not all aircraft are CPDLC or ADS equipped, plus the ones that are still check on for SELCAL checks, I suspect this is the main draw. DJ

There are times of lull on HF freqs since the Intl departure and arrival pushes happen at different times. You just have to listen at the correct times. Im sure DJ could help pinpoint those times as he flies transatlantic often.

I'm not sure I understand the original question, maybe they just meant conditions were bad and voice comms were difficult ? As far as the busy times, you get the eastbound flow between around 0300Z-0700Z and the westbound flow between around 1300Z-1700Z. I've never really spent much time on the HF feeds here, are they any good ? DJ

This was a computer issue...the Atlantic HF feed is back on line.  The computer had a nasty reboot while unattended and Windows mixed up the sound cards.  This is a classic problem in Windows machines with many sound cards installed.
