Post by: YWGTower on July 16, 2008, 12:59:02 PM
Will a Uniden Bearcat BC92XLT work with ATC frequencies?

Thanks!

Yes it will.  It really isn't set up for the type of scanning we normally do.  I keep one in my car and it is not the most intuitive.

Best,

What kind of scanner would you recommend (hald-held). Preferably around $70.

I heard 'favourable' reviews on Maycom AR-108..  I own a ICOM-ICR5 as well.  it is good and loud but the price maybe much more than $70.

You can probablay search in ebay for used scanners for around $70.  They should work fine.  Also, the antenna is probablay more important than the radio itself.

You can probably pick up a Radio Shack Pro series handheld on eBay for less than $70.

Best,

What would the best scanner for this type of scanning be.I am thinking about setting up a feed from EICK.I also have the a BC92XLT and thought this might do but if not I will have to invest on a new scanner
