I just saw UAL942 turn back east of Montreal. Looks like they are heading back to KORD. Curious to know what happened here.

Flight Aware shows same...turning back to KORD...
Check out the track on the Flight Aware link...it looks like they turned back towards KORD, then back east, then back towards KORD again...interesting...

Here is the audio from UAL 942 Heavy returning to KORD. Nothing out of the norm...they did request ILS 10 verses ILS 4R.
He makes a couple jokes on the Approach recording, so apparently, it was nothing serious. Still no idea why the turnback...

The CADORS site finally had the entry in there reporting system for UAL942. It states that they contacted ATC indicating that they would not be able to complete the crossing and requested to return to KORD.

Did they give a reason why they couldn't make the crossing? Technical issue, sick passenger, unruley passenger...etc...??

Nope, nothing in the report about why.
